1. Ensure the hedge trimmer is turned off and the trigger is not engaged.

The hedge trimmer comes with a blade guard for safe storage and transport. Ensure the blade guard is removed before operation and re-installed immediately after use. The guard should fit snugly over the blade.

5.2. Using the Rotating Rear Handle

The 180-degree rotating rear handle allows for comfortable operation when trimming at different angles (e.g., vertical sides of hedges). To adjust the handle:

1. Ensure the trimmer is off and the blades have stopped moving.
2. Locate the handle rotation button (typically a white button near the rear handle).
