Piece Movement
- Pawns (Rebel: R2-D2, Imperial: Stormtroopers): Move one square forward, or two squares on their first move. Capture diagonally one square forward.
- Rooks (Rebel: Han Solo, Imperial: Boba Fett): Move any number of squares horizontally or vertically.
- Knights (Rebel: Chewbacca, Imperial: Darth Maul): Move in an L-shape (two squares in one direction, then one square perpendicularly). Knights are the only pieces that can jump over other pieces.
- Bishops (Rebel: Princess Leia, Imperial: Emperor Palpatine): Move any number of squares diagonally.
- Queens (Rebel: Luke Skywalker, Imperial: Darth Vader): Move any number of squares in any direction (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).
- Kings (Rebel: Yoda, Imperial: Grand Moff Tarkin): Move one square in any direction (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).
