4.2 Navigating Loops and Settings

The Ditto+ features a high-resolution color display and a large central knob for navigation and control. The two arrow buttons (< සහ >) allow you to scroll through different loop slots (up to 99) or menu options.

4.3 Extended Looping Mode

The Ditto+ offers an "Extended Looping Mode" which allows you to record a short initial loop and then overdub a longer phrase that automatically extends the overall loop length. This is particularly useful for creating complex arrangements.

  1. Activate Extended Loop Mode: To enable this mode, press and hold both arrow buttons simultaneously. A menu will appear on the display. Navigate to the "Extended Loop Mode" option and select "ON".
  2. Recording in Extended Mode:
    • Record your initial, shorter loop as usual (press footswitch once to start, once to end).
    • Immediately after the initial loop starts playing, press the footswitch once to enter overdub mode.
    • Play your longer overdub. The pedal will use the original loop as a timing reference.
    • To end the extended overdub, tap the footswitch කලින්, before the desired end point. The pedal will then close the loop at the end of the next full bar, based on the original loop's timing. This ensures a musically coherent loop extension.
  3. Subsequent Overdubs: After the extended loop is established, subsequent overdubs will function as normal, adding layers to the new, longer loop.

Note: The extended loop feature typically allows for one primary extension. You cannot infinitely re-adjust the loop length multiple times using this method.

4.4 Import/Export Loops

Connect the Ditto+ to your computer via USB. The pedal will appear as a mass storage device, allowing you to drag and drop audio files (WAV format recommended) to and from its internal memory. This enables you to back up your loops or load pre-recorded tracks.
