Proper installation is crucial for your child's safety. Always ensure the base is securely installed and does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.

4.1. Adjusting the Recline

The base features a two-position recline to ensure the infant car seat is at the correct angle for your child. Locate the recline adjustment lever on the base. Press the lever and adjust the base to the desired recline position. Consult the level indicator to confirm the correct angle for your infant's weight and age.

4.2. LATCH Installation

1. Locate your vehicle's lower LATCH anchors. These are typically found in the crease between the seat back and bottom cushion.
2. Extend the LATCH connectors from the car seat base.
3. Attach each LATCH connector to a corresponding vehicle LATCH anchor. Ensure you hear a 'click' and pull on the connectors to verify they are securely fastened.
4. Press down firmly on the car seat base while pulling the LATCH strap to tighten the connection. The base should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back.
5. Check the level indicator to ensure the base is at the correct recline angle.

4.3. Seatbelt Installation

1. Place the car seat base on the vehicle seat.
2. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated seatbelt path on the base.
3. Buckle the vehicle seatbelt.
4. Remove all slack from the lap portion of the seatbelt by pressing down firmly on the car seat base and pulling the shoulder belt. Lock the vehicle seatbelt according to your vehicle's owner's manual (usually by pulling the shoulder belt all the way out and letting it retract).
5. Verify the base does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
6. Check the level indicator to ensure the base is at the correct recline angle.
